Father Daughter Dance

This weekend Leah had a Girl Scout Father Daughter Dance. The theme was 50's 60's and 70's. Leah went as Jackie O from the 60's. Her Daddy got her a wrist coursage and she had her hair cut the day before. She looked and felt like a million bucks. I told her before she left to let her "date" open the door for her and treat her like a "princess". I told her "date" to treat her like a princess, so that when she started dating for real (when she is 30) that she would know how she should be treated (no pressure Dad). The dance started at 6:30 and was supposed to end at 9:00. I got the impression from Chris that they would probably be home early. So I was suprised when they didn't get home until 9:30. The report was they had a really good time. Leah said Daddy only stepped on her foot one time when they were learning the Waltz. Before they had left, I had heard the song from Steven Curtis Chapman, Cinderella. Talk about tear jerker. It was totally appropriate for this special evening. Make sure you have a box of Kleenex handy when listening.

She looks so grown up! What a cute dress. I am glad they had such a nice time. She will love having this memory when she is older.

SCC's song Cinderella is one of my favorites off his new cd.

I just LOVE father/daughter dances! They look absolutely beautiful! We missed ours this year because we were in Atlanta. But the dressing up and special treatment from dad is so touching to see.
